A strong cross diplomat was generated after news yesterday that last Thursday the office of Ezeiza International Airport seized weapons, drugs and espionage technology the U.S. military aircraft, intended to introduce such a charge without authorization.
Barack Obama's government summoned the Argentine Ambassador Alfredo Chiaradia to explain. However, Foreign Ministry rejected the measures and said that "the Argentine laws must be obeyed by all without exception."
The U.S. plane where unauthorized load carrying.
The incident occurred on Thursday 10 February when a Boeing Globemaster III military plane landed at Ezeiza carrying "sensitive material" allegedly for a crisis management course for the Special Operations Group of the Federal Police (GEOF).
Amid the controversy, the Justice Argentina requested details on the contents of the cargo, to determine whether there was a crime. Meanwhile, it was learned that the arrival of military aircraft had been agreed by the two countries through exchange of letters. While the documents indicate that it was scheduled, the junctions between the administration of President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner and Obama continued for the content of the cargo.
"Customs proceeded to conduct a check of the load with the seriousness and professionalism that deserves described as war material," said Foreign Ministry.
From the U.S. State Department said the flight had the green light. "I was surprised that things have not talked in a respectful manner," said the Assistant Secretary for Western Hemisphere Affairs, Arturo Valenzuela, told CNN. "The plane was carrying material for a work project together, ask that you return and turn the page without excessive charges, rounded.
Moreover, the Argentine foreign minister confirmed Hector Timerman last night that raised a note of protest against U.S. for refusing to testify and cooperate. "Argentina is telling the truth," he said and reiterated that the ship included styled as secret material (drugs, communication devices, and psychotropic medication that is outdated). Speaking to CNN, recorded that one third of the cargo was not in the list presented in good faith. "The most correct is that all is retained by the Justice and Customs Argentina," he concluded. Fan
