All activities carried out under extreme conditions pose some risk. In scuba diving is no different emergencies may arise, the question is whether you will be prepared or not. - take and pass the data and scuba diving (with as much detail as possible) and request information on how to proceed.
- If the diver is conscious keep him on his back. If unconscious put the diver in the recovery position.
- The injured diver must breathe pure oxygen (100%) all the time.
- In suspected decompression illness the victim can drink non-alcoholic.
- The victim should be referred to the nearest hospital to be stabilized. If you have the same DAN insurance, it must be contacted (if not already) to cover the removal and treatment in Hyperbaric Chamber and guide the treatment of the injured. To this should be past the dive profile. If the victim has no insurance , but still not put your doctor at the hospital in telephone contact with DAN Brazil.
- If you need help to remove the patient call 193 (Fire Department) or 190 (Integrated Center for Security Operations - CIOPS).
- aeromedical evacuation only at low altitude (1000 feet maximum ).
